I Am A Teacher
updated @
11:51 PM
I am a counselor and psychologist to a problem-filled child,
I am a police officer that controls a child gone wild.
I am a travel agent scheduling our trips for the year,
I am a confidante that wipes a crying child's tear.
I am a banker collecting money for a ton of different things,
I am a librarian showing adventures that a storybook brings.
I am a custodian that has to clean certain little messes,
I am a psychic that learns to know all that everybody only guesses.
I am a photographer keeping pictures of a child's yearly growth,
When mother and father are gone for the day, I become both.
I am a doctor that detects when a child is feeling sick,
I am a politician that must know the laws and recognize a trick.
I am a party planner for holidays to celebrate with all,
I am a decorator of a room, filling every wall.
I am a news reporter updating on our nation's current events,
I am a detective solving small mysteries and ending all suspense.
I am a clown and comedian that makes the children laugh,
I am a dietician assuring they have lunch or from mine I give them half.
When we seem to stray from values, I become a preacher,
But I'm proud to have to be these people because ...
I'm proud to say, "I am a teacher."

post-exams week and we said, 'huraaaay'! class party of 3 days just like the wedding as what one of my kids said. truly thankful to the parents for being supportive & generous. they were in fact more excited than their kids for this day. our own prize-giving day. treasure hunt tak menjadi. musical chair. oh kids just wanna have fun. their laughters and never-ending sharings&questions just make you stop & think & reflect & laugh your worries away.
it's the last week of school and i can smell holidays already even though i know for sure for as long as im not married, i wont be able to taste the true holidays out of this little island. but that's ok as i have faith in my loved ones to bring rainbow to my life during this holiday.
hiak hiak hiak...
well, i still wish & pray secretly that dear dad will eventually surrender my passport to just let me RUN ALONG. ;)

sobs. sobs. sobs.
tell me that is the best shot of the day. personally taken by one of nandini's pupils during her surprise party.
i guess the pupils are born professional photographers.
whereas their teachers can practically take a vainity shot in front of the pupils. lol.
and i can't believe one of my pupils cried. =(
party. cards. ribbons. tidbits. little notes. cakes. chicken wings. nuggets. bear. videoclips.
friday is here. it's really here.
9th May is the date.
to all my other trainees, let's make the best out of it.
and then, we can just let loose of ourselves and enjoy before the real journey begins.Labels: my kiddos, practicum

is this really the end?
updated @

i've never felt so relaxed ever since the practicum started.
this week, i felt good.
the kids already knew by now that friday will be my last day.
right after the announcement, they went..."Ahh? Why??? Aiya..don't want..Don't go lah..."
tomorrow, it will be my last lesson with the p5 and p4. sigh!
and fri, it will be the p2. aargh.
it's just so weird that, as much as i wanted this day to come, i simply dread it now.
in this 10 weeks, so many things had happened. be it bad or good.
i find it hard to pen down exactly every little moment that i had so far with the school, colleagues and of course, the pupils.
im not sure if i could go through tomorrow. heart pain.Labels: my kiddos, practicum, random
