hari raya makes me feel loved

the mum and i indulged ourselves at causeway point for even more last minute shopping
since it was half-day in school for me. was already in festive mood, wishing anyone i could see
in school a wonderful hari raya. even the muslim kids were all hyped to go home already.
guess what the non-muslims kids told me?
ms.aidah, not fair the malays can go home so early. chinese new year also they go home early with us.
dear kids, majority of the teachers and students are chinese. so what's left to do for the muslims aye? even if we combined classes, there will not be enough EMS teachers to teach, you know? Don't tell me you expect the MT teachers to teach EMS?
i smiled and get back to giving out green packets to the kids.
Ms. Aidah, inside got money ah?

Childrens' Day cum Hari Raya gift. hassle free and they can buy whatever they want with the money! =)
they were happy. i IS so happy.
when the night came. the siblings and us made a yearly customary trip to geylang.
only this year, we were kinda moodless, what with the heavy rain and the massive crowds.
we got home early than usual - two in the morning.
i do not know why but the eve and the actual day of syawal always got me excited,
what with the last minute preparations and shoppings that made my adrenaline pump up!
and im always not so serious when it comes to seeking forgiveness.
but of course, those words said were sincerely from my heart.
i don't like crying. no way.
oh wells, what's our family theme this year?

this year again, we did not manage to take pictures with the maternal side.
they're forever the early birds. by the time we reached grandma's house, they were on the run already. bummer!
i think next time we need to set timing. lol.
oh another thing!
i think if occassion like this falls on a weekday, there should be two public holidays leh!
what with Childrens' Day on the same day!
so tiring you know to be back to work the next day.
by 9pm i told the dad to just surrender and head home.
what do you know...the next day, so many muslim pupils absent! =(
ok enough ranting already. enjoy the visuals! =)
