that little IT-savvy toddler cum nephew of mine is more efficient than me aye!
im a tad too late to update about yesterday before him.
the family and i attended a wedding yesterday.
the whole family attended this time just because,
the mom of the bride is my mom's neighbourhood friend.
the mom of the bride is in-charge of niecey's silat class every Sunday night.
the parents of the bride are our religious teacher.
lastly, the bride used to be my close childhood friend back in primary one and two.
sadly, we were not close anymore ever since she transfered to a nearby neighbourhood pri sch.
but im happy to see her smile at me from afar while she was sitting at the pelamin. =)
seeing her, the same age as me, already being a beautiful petite bride left me a question to ponder.
why do we, Malays (mostly), get married at a young age?
i won't deny that the love and i already planned our future at a young age of 15.
yes, laugh all you want. not funny.
but you can say we were so mentel or gatal, i know.
we just can't help it that the topic of weddings, career and children just made us high.
no doubt, especially the wedding part. lol!
that we even discuss the number of children we want to have (God's willing).
and even their names. be it boy or girl.
yes, laugh hysterically all you want this time.
coz i find it funny myself too. but cute. haha.
they say, no money no talk wedding!
but i say, we should be mentally prepared too.
are we really prepared for the marriage life?
are we really prepared to have our own family?
are we really prepared to have serious committments - parents, family, career?
are we really prepared to sacrifice the wants for the needs?
are we really prepared to be good parents to our children?
are we really prepared to be good sons/daughters to our own parents and parents-in-law?
simply said, are we really prepared to share our bolster with our spouse?
ok, that was totally random. or so uncalled for.
but seriously, how well are we prepared?
i think looking at real life situations either scare the wit out of me,
or make me feel as if fairytales do exist afterall.
i didn't know that these few cases affect me so much that i think doubly twice about getting married.
of course, not to the extend of not wanting to get married at all!
i still want to get married (like who the heck wouldn't want, right?).
but not at t.w.e.n.t.y.t.w.o! or any sooner. duh!
i can't say the same for the love though. he wants it quick.
but let's all just wait till we settle down with our individual career first.
it's just so funny how my mind works.
or how my feelings work actually.
i can't wait to get married and the next minute, i don't want to talk about marriage now.
that's how it works.
till now, i still browse through for wedding services like the deco, makeup, photographer,
henna, cupcakes, catering etc. on the magazines, online or recommendation by close
family and friends.
i can just salivate over those beautiful weddings wokay.
or i can just dream over it. haha.
i know we can never be too hopeful for things won't turn out what we expected.
i know we can only plan but only Him decides what's best for us.
and i know i talk too much about this issue.
or perhaps, i think too much about it which i shouldn't.
for again, i'll be in my wedding lalala land. lol.
marriage is supposed to be beautiful afterall.
for you'll earn a greater height of happiness at the end of it. =)
why you ask?
one main reason is because of this....

a child of your own. insyallah. =)
who will never fail to shower you with all sort of innocent antics of theirs.
so, does this hiphop nephew of mine looks like his daddy?

or his mummy?
don't ask me. coz i suck at this. in looking for the likeness in appearance between two or more persons.
especially when they don't really have any similarity in appearance at all, even though they are siblings.
but i can assure you that little haniq's chubby look and weight follow his mummy.
just look at them - mummy and son. not proven enough? lol.
and just look at his daddy. so skinny, i tell you!
oh i forgot one more thing.
one main feature confirm follow his mummy or rather our family. HAHA.
*babyku, please hold on to your big laugh ok coz i know you're going to laugh for sure*
OUR HIDUNG KEMBANG.
like onion, they say. haha, laugh all you want. not funny!
my mum has that hidung kembang. so my siblings and i follow that feature of hers. hmmpz!
my kakak's nose is a bit sharp though. my dad has a sharp nose. that's why.
nevertheless, we thank Allah for granting us a nose to smell and dig our nose for dirt.
disgusting, i know. but don't tell me, you never?
for hygiene purpose wokay!
alright, enough talking about this main face feature of ours.
i think i talk too much already.
i'll end this entry with pictures. =)

1. i can't believe i didn't notice about my messy hair! there's a clip underneath that thick messy hair.
2. check out my family's main face feature yo! hidung kembang.

oh, i also forgot to mention another main feature of ours.
our colgate smile. lol!

the niecey's silat friends who performed at the wedding.

just focus on the ladies, not little grumpy haniq. haha.
now, let's all say goodnite! =)
so when will i get married?
there i go again.....Labels: family, life, weddings and engagements
