and we're back here again

day one of practicum. and 10 more weeks to go.
we realised that the 1 week of March holiday apparently isn't included in the time frame. =(
speaking of March holiday reminds me of babyku's D&D which had me contemplating to go.
we'll see how it goes when it's drawing near.
nandini and i made a promise way back when we had our TA previously to have compulsory pictures taken on the first and last day.
we did it previously and so we did it again today.
just so we could see how we actually progress in terms of appearance as days passed.
from being all fresh to weary, stress-looking trainees. yes, i bet that will so going to happen.
kelvin, looking all shy as always on camera while yuen chien had left already.

i brought half of the usual things i needed like the mini tray for me to place all my tokens, markers, traffic lights, ice-cream sticks, scissors, glue and whathaveyous.
most importantly, the butter biscuits, our favourites for our survival.
not because we're starving ourselves or there's lack of food in the school canteen,
but just because there's little time (even if we have the time, we felt guilty for wasting it on lunch) or simply,
we're just being so dedicated or so we thought. lol!
but seriously, we would rather spend those little breaks preparing for our lesson plans, helping each other with cutting-pasting-laminating manipulative, the admin stuffs and just be stress together in that comfy area. =)
previously, i had a big ring file which i bought from NIE bookshop.
but for now, i guess i will need either a bigger one or simply 3 files for the 3 classes that i'll be teaching. it'll be more organize that way.
let's talk about my various classes - P2 (Maths), P4 (English) and P5 (Maths).
the same levels that i taught previously. the only difference was of course the pupils and CTs.
how lucky of nandini to get my sportive, jovial and sure-i-no-problem-one CT, kat.
hopefully, my CTs this time are as great as her, not forgeting my other two CTs.

today i only managed to observe my P5 and P2 lessons since my CT for P4 was on MC.
but i requested to relief my P4 class just so i could use the time to get to know them.
oh how well-behaved can they be just as i took over their class. well, except for certain group of boys for sure.
having a white boy(not because his skin is white!) in my class this time gave me the jitters already.
i don't why i've always have this fear with the whites. uh..uh i don't know.
oh wells, time is all i need to be flexible and adapt with this. yes, time and patience.
and i was told they're in a banded class. *stress*
surprisingly, most of my previous P4 pupils were in my P5 class. i was elated of course especially when they saw me stepping onto their classroom
at the front and they went, "Eh! Miss Aidah! You are back!"
so tell me, how could i not be happy to see them? =)
and all the more makes my work and classroom management easier.
everyone in the class is well-behaved, raising their hands for any questions or doubts.
just the way i want it for the discipline in class.
kudos to my CT for that and i love the way she teach. just as what i want to be.
of course, need i say more for the lovable cutest P2 pupils.
only this time, the class that i had to handle consist a greater number of the ones whom i need to pay extra and special attention to.
i was grateful though for the opportunity as this is indeed an eye opener for me. a test towards my perseverance.
and i don't know why again i love teaching them more. uh..uh..i don't know.
it's just the great feeling and satisfaction that i received after teaching them.
they just have this voice within them, trying to tell me that they just wanted to be like the others, learning like them and not be indifference.
the wonders of telepathy.
ok enough already. i realised i can go on and on without checking the time.
i guess this is the only lengthy entry that i could afford, for the following weeks to come, you might just see a one or two liner for an entry.
let's see...tomorrow it's gona be cut and paste day! lol.
sharing of resources. we're trying to retrieve back our old lesson plans stored in the school system to be shared with every of our peers.
so more to come i guess!Labels: practicum, resources
