like finally, i managed to do up an entry solely on Sizzy's 21st last three Saturday. it's not an easy job, mind you. whatsnot with the many kodak moments captured. and of course, planning and preparing for the event itself was NOT easy. it was REALLY tough tau.
let's touch on the planning part first. as you know, this year's theme for us is SURPRISE. if you could remember, Buddy's 21st was indeed really a true surprise, that she really did not expect. and Sizzy if you are reading this, i still want the video we took for Buddy's shocking moment which could give her a heart attack. =S and of course, my 21st was indeed a true surprise as well coz i never knew or expect the bestfriends and syahid would turn up on the strike of midnight of my burpday. why you may ask?
we, gurls especially have always been having curfews from our respective parents. and the curfew was to be home by 10 plus especially for yourstruly. pathetic right? hmm... thus, i truly did not expect babyku to sneakily made plans with them for my 21st.
now, since we somehow knew that by hook or by crook, we are going to plan something for Sizzy and Kinky's21st, the surprise isnt that refreshing or so we thought. for Sizzy's 21st, at least we have some fresh ideas to plan for. and im so excited to touch on that later. =) but poor Kinky, our creative juices to plan a great surprise for her somehow is depleting. oh by the way, she already insisted or even demanded to want a surprise. hmm...hee.
ok enough of that. where did i stop? oh yah, the planning part! so we or rather me,diedie wanted this plan to really be a wonderful surprise for Sizzy. we did not want her to suspect even a single thing about it. phew, that was tough!
despite our busy schedules, we made a point to meet up and discuss thoroughly about it. from the all girls first meeting in Bugis which include buying of the decorations, to couple meeting at Lido McCafe which somehow brought tension to each of us, to the final meeting of confirmation which include ordering of cakes and food. countless meetups, phonecalls and sms-es, and of course many spoilt plans due to certain circumstances. but we love the final surprise plan. =)
as for me, im having 3 dear ones with the same birthdates. these brought me into a dilemma moment. one is the dear cousin. another is the AG babe. and the other of course, the bestfriend. luckily, i had a rewang session the day before and i get to meet Kuzin Mamat. i was contemplating though whether to go for Idayu's surprise at her home. in the end, i did not coz i really did not have the time and i could not possibly cut myself into two. =S my bestfriend comes first. sorry!
i was at Kinky's crib from 1 plus to 6pm, preparing whatever stuffs that we needed to.
i even made Lil' Syahid and Hafiz to sing their cutey version of burpday song for dear Sizzy. they were indeed extreme naughty yet simply adorable. =)
the weather was extremely hot that afternoon, that moody mode got the better of us. playground was the cure. some fesh air to cool us down while waiting for babyku to arrive. poor him. exhausted from the previous night shift.
and of course, at that point of time, some people did not realise that they had forgotten to bring along something. boohoo! no prizes for guessing who. hmmpz!
the gurls took a cab while the boys took the bike. the gurls were all extremely excited about getting the decorations and surprise done. euphoric moment. as soon as we reached East Coast, we suddenly wanted to have chalet. initial plan was simply tent near the beach. but to speak of convenient, of course we chose to have chalet. easier for the decorations and all.
luckily at the last min, we managed to book a chalet despite the expensive price. lesson learnt, never book a chalet at East Coast Island Resort ever again. bad service. bad management control. bad handling of customers' request and complain. and of course, bad staff --> Normah. Please bear that in mind people. we're already over 21 years, so we're no longer kids wokay despite our childish behaviours. (you canread Buddy's blog for more info) dramatic moments. but for Sizzy, we will.
anyhoos, we still have the drive to move on with the preparations. time was running out. already told muhd to bring sizzy to the chalet at 1030pm. panic! hurry hurry people!
blow blow blow the balloons + buying of chicken wings at the Lagoon + cloth the table up + bad air-con and dirty toilets + guys getting lazy and at the comfort of the air-con room+ guys getting horny with each other + putting up all the decorations + and whatsnot.
if you had noticed carefully, the cake was damaged by our dear clumsy Kinky. look to the extreme right. its not obvious BUT to us, it was. hmmpz!
amist the preparations, nonsense will always be in the list somewhere or somehow. oh, we managed to do up a lookalike guest sign-in table just so sizzy could actually read the instructions on the noticeboard and table on what she should do next. since the plan of having a 5 stopover of treasure hunts for her was backfired.
how the hell were we cruel enough to do a treasure hunt for her at night deh?
whats a burpday party without these lovely food, deco and stuffs for the burpday girl? =) 'a' balloons stand for aishah! whee...

when all the things needed to set up were almost done, Buddy suggested another item to the food. chicken wings at the Lagoon. so the poor guys had to make their way to the Lagoon, while the gurls took the much needed rest in the not so comfy air-con room. and things can get really gurly.....and jumpy without the guys around. time check: 11 plus i think. guys were back. did last touch-ups on everything, making sure everything was close to perfect. and of course, the gurls changed into our tees just for the party.

ok all's done! everybody's to their position! all lights off! guys hid in the room upstairs. oh, babyku was given a very important job in snapping a shot of the burpdy gurl just when she opened the door to the room. kodak moment captured mah! and syahid to tune in to that certain song just when she arrived. hee.
so where did the gurls hide? hmm...... UNDER THE FOOD TABLE.
yeap, you heard it right. the 3 of us squeezed ourselves under that small table. i still could not believe we actually resort to that plan.
you see, kinky had this habit of not staying still. giggle here and there. so its kinda hard to make this hideout a success till we TADAH to the burpday gurl.
the funny part was, we did try to scare the guys upstairs in an attempt to take revenge on them. coz they did scare us from above with the eery ghostly sound. but gurls being gurls, the attempt got backfired at us. bleargh.
alright, muhd sms-ed to alert their arrival in just minutes! back to our respective positions.
ssshhh.....silence people.
the door was opened. shadows of a petite gurl came first, followed by a black figure (muhd lah of course!). feeling humid and uncomfortable, we tried as much to take a peek over our shoulders to see what's the first thing she did or react upon reaching the dooorstep. we were just 2 steps away from her, mind you! the only thing that kept her from seeing us was the black cloth which covered the table. haha.
she was stunned. she was shocked. she was almost into tears. at this point of time, we were scared that she did not read the instruction and somehow approached the kitchen first which led to us instead of going upstairs.
phew....she did walk to the room where the guys were first. =) and the guys boomed her with . . . SURPRISE!

you never want to imagine the difficulty when we wanted to dash out from the table and jump on her. haha. extremely fantabulous. we made her cry in joy. =)

the HANA portrait + cutting cake session + the candles trick for 5 mins + that portrait area + the revealed of the noticeboard + customary phototaking + changed fully into the tee this customary of feeding the burpday gurl with the cake was a must for all generations. haha. by hook or by crook, it's a must. be it the guys. but somehow this time, the guys did not manage to feed her with the cake. hmm....how pity!

here was the time where...finally we can eat! --> points to Wan. haha.
settle down kids + eating session + yummylicious Prima Deli cake + storytelling + bonding session + a showcase of traditional five stone + old maid + undone forfeits + ghost stories + riddles + always in the hungry mode --> points to Wan again. =)
we played many rounds of poker in the room. i'd learnt a thing or two. haha. blur me! and we had the time alone for ourselves after that while the guys had rounds of smoking. we dreaded the time when sizzy had to leave for they had plans the next morning, sizzy had only 2 hours of sleep the day before. bleargh.
sad things aside, we actually had fun! =)
so, who snored the loudest aye? *chuckles*
come the next morning, everybody woke up on time despite the extra time given. look at the faces of early morning. shoutz here and there. smoke evrywhere. lazyness to bathe and get dolled up. babyku being shiok sendiri for the first time taking a picture of himself.
and we left the room in a big mess.
oh! we found something along the way to the counter. on a bench in the open, mind you! grose....
figure it out people! haha.
after settling the payments at the counter, we slacked for awhile. ate the leftovers muffins and a piece of cake.
we talked about everything from the surprise we had to the coming movie dates. ala-ala post-surprise debriefing gitu!
