let's talk about my first 2 weeks of observation in the school. for a start, of course the feeling was weird, nervous and all. just get to know the other 3 student teachers and other staffs.
those 2 weeks were rather dry. and whoever says observation could be fun aye? 1st week was a-ok for me, having to experience being in a class and observe every little details of teaching strategies, pedagogy and of course giving that staring look on each of the students.
oh my...how innocent can they be? oh well, looks can be deceiving oui...
but by the 2nd week, i was yawning the time away at the back of the class. totally dry and of course, the same routine again. that i really couldn't wait to just get my ass off that seat and just walk to the front, and start getting to know the pupils and teaching!
gabrah katekan...
anyway, thank god those 2 weeks were done and over with. back in the resource room, we were busy chatting away over nonsensical stuffs. and of course, getting the table organised with all our timetables, textbooks, workbooks, organizer and whathaveyou. yah, we had our own name pasted on our table. even chairs too. =S
oh! a bottle of water is really essential for a teacher aye! what more with the humid and damn hot weather at that time. phew! i almost drank 3 bottles throughout the morning session. and i never did drink that lots of water before. =S
oh not to forget! Nandini and I survived everyday with only those healthy butter crackers. well, we never knew that the days ahead were that hectic. we did not even have the time to eat or rather we forgot to eat! =S Kelvin and Yen Chien always fail to remind us to eat. hoho.
haha, we're happy this way. we would rather stay in the resource room, chatting and marking away! =)
and that was of course my messy table. the only messy table that almost occupied my other student teacher's table. kwakwkawa....whats not with all my manipulatives, basket filled with the pupils' names, hole puncher, white glue etc, files, card reader and of course, construction papers and markers.
when i was a pri/sec student, i'd always been wondering to myself... why the heck do teachers' table are so messy and disorganised?? so many boxes filed with worksheets and their stuffs are all over their own cubicle.
well, now i know exactly the reason.
that's for my 2 weeks of boring observation. and now, i've to get ready for a date with babyku! =)
it just feels so weird now to be free.
